Obstetrics: A Positive Pregnancy and Birth Experience
Congratulations on your pregnancy! Harbour Women’s Health is dedicated to providing our obstetric patients and their families a healthy and positive pregnancy and birth experience.
Our providers’ main focus is providing support for healthy, natural deliveries. With their broad spectrum of knowledge and expertise, they have the training and experience to handle and resolve any unforeseen medical problems that could arise. We believe that this philosophy coupled with reliable expertise is the key to quality obstetric care.
Throughout your pregnancy, we take pride in providing guidance, support and education leading up to, during and following your delivery. When the special day arrives, our deliveries are attended at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Convenient Testing & Treatment
To complement our obstetrics care and services, we offer testing and treatments which can be conveniently performed in-office.
Family Planning
Family Planning: We provide preconception counseling and testing to help you plan your pregnancy. We will review your medical and obstetric history to discuss whether or not you are at risk for pregnancy complications and what you can do to reduce those risks.
Laboratory Services
Both the standard prenatal blood tests as well as a range of additional optional prenatal tests can be performed at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital Laboratory location on site adjacent to our lobby.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound is an integral part of obstetric care. We have ultrasonography services offered 5 days a week in our office. This helps us to estimate due dates, monitor growth and development and alert us to any conditions that may mean that you or your baby needs extra care.
Non-Stress Tests
It is recommended that high risk patients have additional surveillance in the third trimester. These twenty minute tests are not painful and involve listening to your baby’s heart rate continuously and checking for contractions. They are performed in a special area in our office and can be coordinated with your routine obstetric visits.
Maternal Fetal Medicine
We are excited to have MFMs (high risk obstetric specialists) from the Elliot Hospital in Manchester come to our office several times per month. They perform consultations and specialized ultrasounds for our patients who qualify as high risk. We work together to make a multi-disciplinary care plan for you and your baby.
